How to identify BorgWarner Turbocharger:
1. OEM part number
Part number given to the turbocharger by the vehicle/engine manufacturer.
2. Serial number
The serial number is unique to each single turbocharger. The number refers to the production date, etc.
3. BW part number
Part number given to the turbocharger by BorgWarner (former 3K/Schwitzer part number). This number is the most useful for all service purposes.
